Planned Power Outage – Brayford Campus – 4 June

What ICT services will be impacted?

Most ICT services will remain available unless you are trying to access them via the University IT network from one of the impacted buildings and surrounding areas.  If you are connecting to a PC via VPN or though Splashtop which is in one of the impacted buildings, then you will not be able to do so.  If you have problems on Monday morning reconnecting to such a device, please contact ICT directly via ict@lincoln.ac.uk or by calling 01522 88 6500.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you have any queries before these works, please contact estatessupport@lincoln.ac.uk or phone 01522 886777.

What if I need to access a building?

We would ask that staff and students wait until the power is back online to access buildings. Once power has been reinstated, buildings will reopen to normal weekend hours.

I am running an experiment in a laboratory/rendering in a computer suite, how should I prepare?

Please ensure that you have taken the appropriate measures to save your work and shut down equipment safely. Unfortunately, Estates cannot provide any external power to buildings during this outage.
