Our Brayford city centre campus was established in 1996. It currently comprises of 28 buildings, with the Ross Lucas Medical Sciences Building opened in Spring 2021.

Alfred Tennyson Building (ATB)

The Alfred Tennyson Building is equipped with media suites providing the latest broadcast television, radio and sound equipment, as well as television, photographic studios and radio editing suites. Siren FM, our on-campus community radio station, is based here.

09:00 – 17:00, Saturday – Sunday

Access to the building after 18:00 should be via the Media loans door using a University ID card Monday to Friday.
Access arrangements are as above all day at weekends.

Bridge House (BH)

Bridge House is home to the College of Social Science, Lincoln Institute for Health, Lincoln Law School, School of Education and School of Social and Political Sciences. The building includes a 100 seat lecture room, a moot court for students to practice advocacy and a common room for students and staff.

Charlotte Scott Building (CSB)

The Charlotte Scott Building is home to Professional Services touchdown workspaces and College of Health and Science Executive teams.  The Charlotte Scott Building is located adjacent to Minster House.

David Chiddick Building (DCB)

The David Chiddick Building, home to the Lincoln International Business School, is a student-centred space, complete with lecture theatres.
The building is also has a café.

Enterprise Building & Sparkhouse (ENT)

The Enterprise Building is home to the Careers and Employability Service, where students can access advice and support to maximise the opportunities available upon graduating. The building also houses our business incubation units, Sparkhouse Studios.

Opening Times

Tenants and UoL staff who work in the building have 24/7 access using fobs.

Isaac Newton Building (INB)

The Isaac Newton Building includes teaching, learning and research space for the Schools of Computer Science, Engineering and Maths & Physics. It is also the home of the College of Science Executive Office and Siemens Turbomachinery. A key feature of the building is the turbine workshop which is visible as you walk past.

24/7 access for key assessment periods (January, May, and November).

Janet Lane-Claypon Building (JLC)

The Janet Lane-Claypon Building is the base for laboratory-based instruction in Chemistry, Life Sciences and Pharmacy. The building includes flexible lab space used by all undergraduates in these subjects, as well as smaller specialist teaching and research spaces.

Joseph Banks Laboratories (JBL)

The Joseph Banks Laboratories provides cutting-edge facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate students and staff in the Schools of Chemistry, Life Sciences and Pharmacy. JBL is also a part of the Lincoln Science & Innovation Park.

Junxion (JUN)

The Junxion is part of our ongoing development of flexible learning and social spaces around campus. Space comprises seminar rooms, lecture rooms and Library Learning Lounges for individual or group study.

University Library (UL)

The Library provides a wide range of services and facilities, as well as support and guidance to students on the use of information services and study skills. Learning spaces include a quiet study floor, group rooms, dissertation study areas and a Learning Lounge.

Ross Lucas Medical Sciences Building (LMS)

The Ross Lucas Medical Sciences Building is home of the partnership between the universities of Nottingham and Lincoln, the School delivers the University of Nottingham’s Medicine and Medicine with Foundation Year degree programmes, enhanced with a Lincolnshire flavour. This building is the most sustainable building on the University Estate and features both solar panels and a living wall.

Lincoln Arts Centre (LAC)

The LAC is home to our Dance and Drama programmes. The building also houses a 450-seat public auditorium for comedy, music and theatre, as well as the Zing café bar.

Minerva Building (MB)

The Minerva Building is home to the Student Support Centre, ICT Service Desk and professional support departments. This building has 26 bookable spaces along with a Library Learning Lounge on the third floor.

Minster House (MIH)

Minster House is home to the School of Life Sciences’ Animal Behaviour, Cognition and Welfare research group. The building is also part of Lincoln Science & Innovation Park (LSIP) – to find out more, go to lincolnsciencepark.co.uk

Nicola de la Haye Building (NDH)

The Nicola de la Haye Building is home to the College of Arts, alongside the Peter de Wint Building. The building also houses the art shop, cafe, and several studios including the fashion and photography studios.

The front door of the building will be manually locked at 18:00 Monday -Friday and at weekends.  Access is maintained via the Peter de Wint Building entrance and link corridor.

One Campus Way (OCW)

One Campus Way is home to the Lincoln Academy of Learning and Teaching.  The building also houses the launderette for the Student Village which can be accessed by students living on campus.

Peter de Wint (PDW)

The Peter De Wint Building is home to the College of Arts, alongside the Nicola de la Haye Building. It houses subjects such as Creative and Graphic Design.

Joseph Ruston Building

The Joseph Ruston Building provides access to commercial scientists for diagnostic support and to potential business opportunities and regular networking forums for knowledge exchange.

Sarah Swift Building (SSB)

The Sarah Swift Building is home to the Schools of Health and Social Care, Psychology and the Centre for Professional Development. Completed in June 2017, the building includes specialist teaching spaces and laboratories for research.

Sports & Human Performance Centre (HP)

The University’s Sports Centre houses a large selection of modern sports facilities. These include a fully equipped fitness centre with cardio and strength equipment, an eight-court sports hall, squash courts, outdoor football and hockey pitches, a dance studio and saunas.

Stephen Langton Building (SLB)

The Stephen Langton Building is home to the College of Arts Executive Office.  It is also a conference facility, with a 250 seat auditorium and breakout space. It attracts high-profile speakers from around the world, hosting an annual programme of events that are open to students and the general public.

Students’ Union (SU)

The Students’ Union includes the Towers, Engine Shed, The Platform and the SU offices.  The Tower Bar is a student bar with social activities. The Engine Shed is Lincoln’s premier live performance venue, with a busy annual programme of events.

Think Tank (TT)

The Think Tank provides lettable office space for businesses along with teaching, learning and research space for the University. The building includes meeting rooms and a café.

Witham House (WH)

Witham House is home to the University of Lincoln Chaplaincy and provides dedicated space for both staff and students alike for prayer. The Chaplaincy also hosts a regular lunch made from vegetables from the Edible Garden when available.
