Boulevard Car Park – Barrier operation

From Monday 22 April 2024, staff and students are advised that the vehicle barriers will be brought into operation at the entrance to the Boulevard car parks at the Brayford Campus.

It is hoped that the reintroduction of the vehicle management will improve access to the Boulevard entrance for all staff and users, inclusive of deliveries and the Campus Linc shuttlebus service.

During operating hours, the barriers to the car park will remain in the down position. Staff will be required to use their university ID to operate the barriers.

The operating times for the barriers are as follows:

Between 06:00 to 16:30 Mon – Friday the Boulevard Barriers will be down. Security will be on site to manage access if required.

Outside of these hours, between Friday 16:30 – Monday 06:00 the Boulevard barriers will be up.

In addition to this change, the barrier adjacent to the Lincoln Arts Centre (LAC) is Exit only unless access is urgently required. The service road around the back of the Janet Lane-Claypon, Nicola de la Haye and Peter de Wint Buildings will become a one way route which leads on to the LAC and Students’ Union.

Students who hold a student parking permit and require disabled parking will be able to request access from Security at the Security Hut at the entrance to the Boulevard car park.

Those who use the University car parking facilities are reminded to familiarise themselves with the current version of the University Parking Policy available at lncn.ac/parking
