Want to find out if you’ve got hedgehogs at home? We’re looking for volunteers to help survey in Lincoln for hedgehogs in their gardens and need your help!
As part of the Silver Award for Hedgehog Friendly Campus, our team need to conduct several surveys in the local area for our favourite prickly mammals.
Join us for an online workshop on Thursday 28th May between 16:00 – 17:30. You’ll learn how to create a survey tunnel using household items and how to identify hedgehog prints! Surveys are conducted over five days after which you’ll send your results back to us over email.
Participants must book in advance for this workshop as we are limited to 20 packs of charcoal powder – used to create hedgehog safe ink for recording tracks – which will be posted out to you. You will also need some materials to make your survey tunnel:

The deadline to register to receive your charcoal pack on time is Thursday 21st May 2020. Please email your postal address by Wednesday 20th May 2020. We are only able to offer charcoal packs to University of Lincoln staff, students and Lincoln residents.
Please note that personal data will only be kept to send packs out and will be deleted after the event.
