Each Spring, our Farm team welcomes students from Riseholme College and the University of Lincoln to Riseholme Park Farm to learn about Lambing season and get some hands on experience.
Visits outside of this for community groups can be requested by emailing riseholmeparkfarm@lincoln.ac.uk
Our public Lambing Sunday event is currently being revised. This page will be updated with any further information.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our events.
Is the farm dog friendly?
To protect our farm livestock, dogs are not allowed at Riseholme Park Farm, guide dogs are the only exception. Any other dogs will not be allowed into the farm.
The central Riseholme University Campus is closed to members of the public and dog walkers.
There are two permissive footpath routes that can be used for dog walkers, one circular across from the farm, and one off the Bridleway near the Riseholme Church.
Accessibility on the farm
Disabled Access:
Please contact us in advance of attending to book disabled parking on the farm. We have a limited number of spaces on site. Email estatessupport@lincoln.ac.uk to book.
The farm is situated on concrete, there is a toilet that can accommodate accessibility aids including wheelchairs, but this does not have a changing mat.
Entry into the sheep shed is flat and the ground will be clear.
Viewing the roundhouse: during visits we allow attendees to view the roundhouse from an indoor platform, this doesn’t have a lift but the stairs do have handrails all the way up. However, due to the nature of the roundhouse building, our Lincoln Red cattle can be viewed fully from the outside and information about our herd will be available to view.
If you have any specific concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us via the email listed above.
Advice during pregnancy
It is recommended that individuals who are or who may be pregnant should avoid close contact with sheep during lambing periods. Visiting the farm whilst pregnant is strictly at your own risk. Read the NHS Advice
The University reserves the right to postpone or cancel any events subject to inclement weather or other extenuating circumstances.
