Incoming post at the University

Colleges and Professional Services departments are reminded that they are responsible for ensuring the security of their items for incoming mail from point of delivery by the Post Room Team.

Please be aware that once items are accepted, signed for and handed over to a member of the department, the department is then wholly responsible for them going forward and the Post Room is unable to assist with queries relating to them following this.

For outgoing mail, Colleges and Professional Services are responsible for ensuring the security of their mail up to the point of collection.

Any item that is too large for the Post Room to deliver, will be contacted and advised to place a request for porterage services via the Estates Support Desk to have the parcel delivered.
