November Sustainability Round Up

This November, our sustainability campaign has been all about saving energy. If you follow @GreenLincolnUni on social media, you might have come across these graphics:

We also attended the Lincoln Food Partnership Annual Event to talk about sustainable food in Lincoln. The event was a fantastic opportunity to network with other parties interested in the best ways to deal with food waste and the redistribution of viable food. If you want to find out more about the event, you can read about the Lincoln Food Partnership on their website. If you’re interested in what we currently do at the University of Lincoln, you can visit our page on Sustainable Food & Edible Campus.

In the run up to Tree Charter Day 2018, we ran a “Tree Seeking” competition, asking students to send us photographs or artwork of the colours of Autumn. The winner and runners up were given Waterstones vouchers as a prize. Below are some of our favourite entries!

We also welcomed back Dr Bike last week – who is always very popular with staff who commute in by bicycle.

December’s campaign is all about switching off for Christmas. We’ll be focusing on how you can save on energy by turning appliances off before going home at the end of term.
